"TAMMY PEARL"

She sings, yodels, tap dances, plays the mandolin, banjolin, autoharp, guitar, banjo ... and ... she has her very own page.

FILM AND TELEVISION

My most exciting acting job was as a "Stunt Woman" in the TV show Viper .  The show moved to Vancouver, but it was sure fun while it lasted! I ran in front of two racing cars that were driven by Tommy and Jason Glass a.k.a the masters of chuckwagon racing. For the most part though, I do extra and special skills work for movies and commercials. I have done commercials for the Dairy Food Council, Asahi Japan beer, and the RDTV fall campaign for Bower Place Shopping Center. My movie work includes special skills extra as a clogger in "Papa's Angels", dancer in Tom Jackson's music video "Dance with the Devil" (The song Dance with the Devil is on the cd "The Huron Carole". Net proceeds from both of these projects were donated to the Salvation Army), a disco dancer in the remake of the snowboard movie "Staying Alive" and most recently as a graduate in the made for TV movie starring James Garner, called "Roughing it".

MUSICAL THEATRE

I love musical theatre and have performed the roles of Hodel in "Fiddler on the Roof", The Artful Dodger in "Oliver", a Dogpatcher in "Li'l Abner", and Grace Farrell in "Annie".  In children's theatre I have performed as Wilma the Witch in "Goblin Gargoyle" and Dina the Gatekeeper in "Dinorock" and Tammy Dee in "Tammy Dee and Friends".  Last but not least is interactive dinner theatre. I played the roles of Donna Marsala, the bridesmaid in 2000, then as Celeste Romano, the wedding singer/MC in 2001, in "Tony and Tina's Wedding" played the lead role of Marlene Meyers in "Disco Saturday Night".  I was also "Artistic Director choreographer" for "Disco Saturday Night". My most successful character is known and loved throughout the cowboy circuit. Her name is Tammy Pearl and she is a decendant of the late great "Miss Minnie Pearl"

COMPETITIONS AND CONVENTIONS

I have 14 years of training in tap, jazz, ballet and song and dance and have competed in many dance festivals. My highest honors include: Alberta Dance Festival/top scholarship in musical theatre/song and dance solo, Calgary Dance Festival/scholarship for top song and dance/musical theatre solo and Central Alberta Dance Festival/high point plaque of the festival for musical theatre/song and dance and the high point plaque for tap.
